And we thought that the new 6 man lift at Mt Buller this year was something to marvel at!
A project to connect the Whistler and Blackcomb Mountains got underway in 2007.
This is the blurb from the projects website
“Twenty-eight sky cabins will travel 4.4 kms between Whistler and Blackcomb Mountains, offering unprecedented access to both mountains’ expansive and unique high alpine terrain and spectacular views. The summer and winter experience at Whistler Blackcomb will be forever revolutionized.”
The trip from one mountain to another takes 11 minutes to complete, the maximum height is nearly twice the height of the Eureka Tower!
Now that’s a marvel.
It’s set to open up at the end of this year.
