The Australian Ski Season for 2010 officially opens midday tomorrow. Yesterday a generous dump of the fresh white stuff fell across the southern resorts and it is expected to continue until late tomorrow, so it’s looking to be one of ther better opening weekends in a few years.
But Australia isn’t the only country with ski fields open tomorrow. The weekly round-up at First Tracks Online has ski fields open in North America, Austria, France, Switzerland, Italy, Scotland, Norway, Finland, South Africa, Chille, Argentina and New Zealand (of course!).
Given it’s mostly glacier skiing in the Northern Hemisphere, but it’s encouraging to see that there is still summer skiing to be had.
What a great weekend coming up!
